Marrying the practices of the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) 8-Week Programme and ancient Judaeo/Christian Contemplative practices this retreat is designed for anyone looking to reduce the impact of fear, stress and anxiety on their lives and increase their access to enduring peace of mind, lightness of heart and deep inner freedom.
The first of a series of MEETING GOD MINDFULLY, 4 seasonal retreats - AWAKENING BREATH can also be done as a standalone day of rest and renewal for those who wish.
Those who participate in the series will receive an MBSR certificate of completion allowing them to do further Mindfulness training if they choose.

Time To Wake Up And Smell The Flowers.
Many of us live our lives on automatic pilot. Even though we are busy it can sometimes feel as though we are sleep walking through our days.
Spring is a wonderful time of the year to wake up. As the light rises we become present to the snowdrops blooming, the birds singing and the buds beginning to appear on the trees. We also become more aware of quiet stirrings deep within our own hearts of a life longing to be lived.
Pausing on Purpose: A one-day introductory workshop suitable for anyone wanting to explore how to lead more calmly and effectively.

RETREAT DAY - SUNDAY 1st NOVEMBER 10AM TO 4PM.
MBSR incorporates techniques such as meditation, gentle yoga and mind-body exercises to help people cope with stress. It gives them a greater awareness of what is happening in their lives, improves their capacity to concentrate and remain calm, whatever their circumstances. It enables people to recognise and accept things just as they are and as they are not. Mindfulness creates space to respond to situations and make choices in a clear and level headed way.

When: 12th of February - 2nd April. 2015 (Includes a day long meditation retreat on Sunday12th of April)
WEEKLY Thursday Nights - 7.30pm to 10pm

The 8 week classes are conducted and led by mindfulness teacher Maria Garvey trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction through the European Institute for Mindfulness Approaches (IMA) which applies the pioneering mindfulness approach of John Kabat-Zinn. The mindful movement aspects of the course will be lead by experienced yoga teacher Marella Fyffe
